An F-35’s F135 is an afterburning, two-spool low-bypass turbofan: intake air is split between a bypass stream and the core, the core air is compressed, mixed with fuel and burned, then hot gases drive turbines that power the compressors while core jet and bypass flow together produce thrust; an afterburner injects extra fuel into the exhaust for short bursts of added thrust. Our 1/10 model faithfully recreates the military low-bypass, twin-rotor axial-flow turbofan structure and principles — retaining a throttle lever and simulated sound while adding lights, spray effects and a multifunction control panel on the base for extra realism and fun.
